Katsura Pieris

Pieris Japonica 'Katsura' is a compact, evergreen shrub prized for its year-round interest and vibrant foliage. In early spring, it produces cascading clusters of rose-pink, urn-shaped flowers that resemble lily-of-the-valley. New foliage emerges a striking deep burgundy-red before maturing to glossy green, providing bold color contrast through multiple seasons. This deer-resistant, low-maintenance shrub thrives in part shade and acidic, well-drained soil - making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and containers. 'Katsura' typically grows 3-4 feet tall and wide, with a naturally mounded form.
